Perimenopause can suck it.
My last few periods have been nothing but shenanigans all the way down and I am done with this nonsense. I'm am putting the nonsense here in one place so I can keep better track. The dates are my recorded start date.
July 25 - typical period, nothing much to note
September 23 - atypical period. After 8 weeks of nada (which suits me fine), this period was little more than red-brown sludge. Not heavy, and felt like the tail end or very beginning of a typical period for the entire 6 days.
October 21 - atypical period. Started heavy, stayed heavy, and my usual 6 days lasted 14. Spent an inordinate amount of time worried about and trying to prevent gushing leakage. We were not amused.
November 21 - atypical period. First 6 days were typical, then intermittent spotting for another week.
December 13 - atypical period. After only three weeks (WTF uterus?!), I got hit with another very heavy period. I'm not soaking through pads, but damn, I am changing them an awful lot. Previous menstruation cycles had minimal or no cramping. This one? All cramps, all the time, all the way down. Even after taking double my usual amount of painkillers today, the cramping is still painful. Ibuprofen only made them BEARABLE. The last time I experienced this level of pain, I was in active labour. Between the gushing and the cramps, I am completely over this and would like to be post-menopausal now.

Thank you. The tag is the only thing that's appropriate for this biological nonsense.
