I slept so poorly last night. I kept waking up in fits and starts, and it took me a long time to fall asleep in the first place. I even had the misfortune of listening to the couple upstairs go at it for a while...and I didn't hear them, but their bed makes very tell-tale squeaking noises. Everthing bothered me, including both the cat and the bedside lamp on fuzzpsych's side, which I don't even notice most nights.

I could even say that I slept so poorly it wasn't funny. But it's really not amusing in the slightest. It only amplifies the effect of negative emotions and thins my hide.

It's going to be a long day.

Weird! I was going to post this morning about how I could hear my neighbours going at it last night. I was mostly amused, though. Sorry you had such a bad night. :/

Seriously, you and me both. I didn't even get to the point of attempting sleep until I think 2:30am, and then I was unsuccessful in the worst way. And my back was killing me. I must have gotten about two hours of sleep -- little enough that my eyes are stinging. It's giong to be an interesting day for sure.

It's common for me to have trouble sleeping the first night when I go back to needing an alarm after a couple of weeks of not. But last night was exceptionally bad.

I'm hoping that tonight is better (or at least less disruptive).

The biggest problem for me when I'm not sleeping right is my "need to eat" signals get really messed up, which isn't fun.
