Welp. That was fast.

As fast as it came, it went. I am no longer required as contract help, which is fine, but oy, my self-esteem has taken a blow.

I need to email my last invoice and that's that. (Which is odd, as I do paper invoices like some kind of Luddite, but I digress.)

More time for me? Ugh. I'll just ... yeah.

I have consoled myself with buying fabric and making fudge.

(Fudge recipe here: https://www.eaglebrand.ca/En/Recipes/Chocolate-Orange-Fudge, although I used orange extract and dried cranberries for the orange zest and nutmeats respectively.)

I'm still bummed, though. I feel like I've let everyone down, or that I'm a massive disappointing embarrassment to all and sundry. My brain is not being kind, despite having fudge ready for dessert and new fabric for projects of my own.

It does. BUT, I still have a craptonne of stuff to do here, some of which I have actually even gotten to. Go me. :)

Although I'm sure it's because you sewed so fast that there wasn't any work left to do!

I hope it was at least enjoyable while it lasted, and gives you greater confidence for the next neat thing :)

I now have the time to work on other projects, like my Christmas sewing for gifting purposes, and new masks from fun fabric. I know that fabric masks aren't nearly as good as the medical ones, but the medical ones are so BORING (and don't fit me very well anyway). Who wants a plain blue mask when I can have one with SHARKS on it?
