The news is good, this time.

Shannon's off the ventilator, no longer on a catheter, no longer on any IV drugs or in an incubator. She's now in a crib (it's so big!), is being fed a respectable 60 mL of breastmilk every three hours through a feed tube (hopefully, she'll be back on bottle feedings by Monday), and it looks like she's going to be moved out of the PICU and upstairs to 4th floor (Cardiac Recovery) in the next day or two.

Before she's moved, they're going to take out the arterial line in her groin (only being used for blood samples now), which only leaves the central line in her shoulder (and brings her down to only one IV period). Currently, she's still getting medication, but that's an injection once every 12 hours under the skin in her leg. She only fusses for the 20 seconds or so it's being done then she calms down again. It's a necessary evil since her foot is still a little on the purple side and she still needs a blood thinner to prevent clotting.

fuzzpsych is blissfully optimistic that she'll be home in a week. That would be the most incredible thing in the world for all three of us. Me? I'm being a bit more cautious, since discharge hasn't been formally discussed with us yet. But still, it looks like this nightmare of uncertainty is going to end and I can finally be at home with my baby.
