I realized today that when [livejournal.com profile] fuzzpsych and I finally move into a bigger place, I'm really going to miss this apartment.

Let me clarify that...

I'm not going to miss the wacky heat (although that seems to be fixed at the moment) that's either fully on or completely off, nor am I going to miss the warmer that masquerades as a dryer in the basement. And I sure as hell am not going to miss the fucktard neighbours who live below me.

Despite the fact that it's not a big enough space for us anymore, especially now that there's three people in the apartment, along with two kitties, it's cozy. As incovenient as it looks to have a crib in the living room, it's very handy because I can put the baby in her crib and read on the couch...no baby monitor required.

Part of me wishes it is possible for us to stay here for a lot longer than we need to. There's a lot of good memories here. But the reality is we'll have to move eventually. Hopefully there will be enough money to do so sooner rather than later.

In spite of its problems, it's a fantastic little apartment. The kitchen is gigantic, the living space is actually big enough to live in, and it's in a great location.

I miss living there.

And I miss having someone reasonable living below me.

Despite the location, I'm not a fan of the noise. That intersection is pretty loud.

your apartment is nice

minus the asswipes below you and the occasional traffic mishaps at that corner. it's such a large apartment, yet it's somehow cozy. you and [livejournal.com profile] fuzzpsych have both lived there a long time. i can understand why you have such a sentimental attachment to it.

it will be extremely nice when you can get your own place though.

change is hard. no doubt about it. unfortunately, it's also necessary.
