This time, it has given me the wrong compression socks.

I didn't fuck up. I took the measurements like a good little patient, picked out the fabrics, and here we are. See, I said to the clerk that I wear men's socks. Paul heard me say to the clerk that I wear men's socks. What was ordered were women's socks. They are, of course, too short for my foot length (which is why I buy men's socks and one of the reasons that I only wear men's shoes).

It's not that I have the longest feet in the history of all feet for all time, it's that women's socks are made for feet that are shorter than mine. I do think that the compression socks will help with the swelling, but not if they are also pinching my toes like a shoe that is not wide enough (and never will be).

And yes, I get that they are supposed to be snug, but I shouldn't have to keep tugging on the heel to get them to fit right.

Added to this: taking the diuretic is not all that helpful, which is a bit of a bummer. To be fair, it was never meant to be a cure-all, and yet the inherent lack of anything approaching useful is rather frustrating. It was also causing me to miss taking my other, more important meds (they can't be taken at the same time), and I'd rather a grossly swollen foot over unmanaged Major Depressive Disorder, thanks.
