This afternoon I had to run a few errands. No big deal. But it took longer than I thought it would (and
fuzzpsych was expecting it to). So when I trudged home two hours later (I only went to four stores, all within a very short walking distance), the first thing I noticed was
fuzzpsych waving at me from the livingroom window. He had been worried about me, which is very sweet.
As I unpacked my backpack and talked with my husband about why I was so late (the right birthday card is a bitch to find...which means I'll have to look again at a later date), I was getting huge smiles and happy gurgling from Tabula Jeckyll.
She missed her mommy, which is extremely touching and makes you realize just what an impact you've had on someone's short life.
After
fuzzpsych left for work, it was like someone had switched my beautiful happy baby for a doppelganger...same appearance, completely different temperment.
So all evening, I've been dealing with Rasa Hyde. She's been fussy for no real reason (okay, once she had a reason, but she was wet and I missed it. She was better after I changed her) and has no patience for being in the bouncy seat or in the swing. She was quietest the longest sitting on the desk in front of the monitor. That still left me one hand to use the mouse, but typing became a bit of an issue.
Nothing has been good enough. And I can't seem to make her happy tonight. *sigh*
Hopefully, whoever switched babies will switch them back after I've gone to bed. But I'm not holding my breath.
