valkryorI don't like mould. And no, I don't even like it in blue cheese. Horrible filthy nasty stuff. The only benefit to mould is penicillin.
I also have allergies to it. Nothing life threatening, but I have to use bleach to kill the mould. The worst area (and the one most often treated) is the bathroom. Specifically, the window in the bathroom, which is in the tub area. I have it covered with a piece of shower curtain so it doesn't get wet all the time, but steam is good enough to give mould a leg up.
So I've just finished cleaning the bathroom, starting with bleach for the mould and working my way to a spray-and-wipe cleaner to tackle the outside of the toilet. I used no less than four chemical compositions to get rid of mould, mildew, ring around the bathtub, toilet bowl ick, soapscum and just general "needs to be wiped down" stuff. It took an hour (it usually takes half that). All I can smell right now is the cleaner I used for the tub, sink and the inside of the plastic shower curtain. *blech*
In other news, moving boxes, brought in by the roomie of the downstairs neighbour from hell, have appeared in the laundry room. There's also been a heck of a lot of banging and bustle downstairs as well. And when I was out on the porch wiping down the piece of shower curtain that covers the bathroom window, I noticed that the downstairs neighbour was actually cleaning up the little area of yard behind the garage, including, but not limited to, two years of dog poop! So either the roomie is moving and the neighbour is using that as an excuse to fix up the place a little, or the neighbours from hell are finally moving out and don't want to get nailed for damaging the property while they were living here.
I'm hoping for option two. :)
