I've just finished updating my site. I've added some new pages, removed others and just made it a little easier to find stuff.

I like it very much - it's easy to navigate, and simple, not in the bad way of simple, but simple so you can find the things you're looking for with a minimum of fuss. I really like the white background; a lot of sites clutter it up with fancy color and patterns which sometimes make it difficult to identify links.

That's one of the reasons I went with a white background. It might look lazy on my part, but it's to keep the entire site navigable without having to play the frustrating "hunt the link" game.

I'm not typically in the habit of leaving a comment on another post while I'm talking about one that has comments disabled, but...

I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I do read your posts. I don't comment often, but then, I never comment on anyone else's journals either. I try to make an effort to say more, but really... more often than not, I just read, respond internally (empathy for the win) and keep going.

Far as the Etsy thing goes, I think you absolutely do belong there. All that "big kids" stuff is nothing. Have you SEEN some of the stuff that's there? Ugliest things I've ever seen in my entire life, and yet they seem to be making sales and staying on the site. Your stuff is not ugly by any means, so you would definitely belong there.

The bottom line is, I guess, that I definitely understand what you mean about cutting LJ out for a while. It can be helpful, but it's hard to get the support you need unless you specifically ask for it... and then I bet it feels like people are responding out of obligation. And that's hard in itself.

But at least far as my LJ list is concerned, you're not being shunned away into a filtered corner or treated any differently than anyone else I follow on this site.
