Well, I've started. I'm about 800 words in, which isn't much, I know, but it's not been easy to write. I find it easier to procrastinate than to force the words out. And maybe that's part of the problem. It feels forced. Ah well. Maybe tomorrow night will be better.

I posted a bit about this a little while back. When I write, it always feels forced. I'm happy with the NaNo stories I've done, but they were like pulling teeth, from beginning to end. It really fuels my "impostor syndrome" thing. However, a lot of people responded to that post to say that they get the same thing and that it's a popular myth that real art should just flow effortlessly.

It felt more clumsy and forced than usual. Some of it still has merit, but it feels very bare bones. I might have to pad it out as I go.

You'd be surprised how many words I'd get a night by padding out the weaker stuff later on.
