You know, you'd think one front end crumpling accident would be enough around here, but no. Another has just happened. At least it's less severe than the one previous, but two in one day is two too many. Crimony.

drivers are stupid, and you should get a sniper rifle and sit at your window shooting them.

except if you see me drive by in a black Kia, of course. I'd appreciate it if you didn't shoot me.

:P

I would be out of ammo within an hour. :P The number of really stupid drivers at this corner is astounding.

Is that really how it's spelled? I always spell it, "Criminey," but that's strictly just a guess from hearing it. I'm scandalized that I've been spelling it wrong this whole time. :/

Apparently, we're both wrong. The actual spelling is criminy. Still, it's an expression I like to use.

Yeah, it's a good one. :) On rare occasions, I'll use, "Crikey!", but only in print, because it's impossible to say aloud without adopting a ridiculous Australian accent.

But the ridiculous Australian accent is what makes saying it such fun!

Your ridiculous Australian accent may be better than mine. ;)

Take a page out of my mother's book. Get a comfy chair, a glass a wine, and watch the fun. ;)

We don't have a perfect view from the living room window like your mother does. When there's an accident, we tend to flit from kitchen to living room to porch to get the full view.

Oy... Might be a good candidate for a red light camera, or as clawfoot suggests a drinking game.

You have to feel bad for the schmuck-ees though

There's a red light camera at Bridgeport and Weber, but with the number of speed traps I've seen at Ellis, you'd think they would have one at this corner, too.

Why are there so many accidents there? That intersection doesn't feel dangerous to me as I go through, but if it's as bad as you say then maybe I will try to be MORE careful if I'm in that area...eep...

It's dangerous because people come flying down the hill on Erb doing near highway speeds. I've almost been hit a few times crossing the street because drivers don't pay attention to pedestrians, especially when they're going that fast.

We also seem to get a lot of "red light racers" here, too. So maybe being a bit more aware of the morons out there when you drive through wouldn't be a bad thing.
