Some things:

- Declan came home with his most recent math test, and got 100%. Can I mention how incredibly fucking proud I am of him? Because I am.

- Bored of my usual Christmas decorations and having zero monies, I went through my stash of beading supplies and got creative. Then, when I was setting up the tree, I went through my fabric stash to find something to cover the red clay pot I use as a stand and the burlap around the bottom of the tree. Free is my favourite price and the result is endearing.

- I was pilling the cat this morning and fumbled the capsule. Into his mouth. I thought it had gone somewhere when I noticed him swallowing it down. Score one for me today.

My apartment is decorated, my kid is home today (blended learning day, which is a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning), and I am *le tired*. I have things to do (the laundry waits for no one) and maybe some baking later, and that's enough for today.

I feel odd, like I haven't eaten anything. I'm light-headed and my hands are trembly and I feel very disassociated from my sense of self. But I have eaten twice already today and I'm trying to keep hydrated (I've had no more or less water than I did yesterday at this time), but I still feel woozy.

I was going to post pictures of two necklaces that I had made in the last couple of days, but I can't seem to access any of the hosting sites I use. Fuck. Maybe tomorrow. I think I should lie down on the couch or something and see if being horizontal for a while helps me feel better.

EDIT: While I was waiting for this to be posted, one of the sites decided to play nice so I can post those images. For the sake of your flist, I'm going to put them behind cuts.

Whilst garging (that's garage sale-ing, folks), I found a chandelier with glass crystals on it for a measly $3. [livejournal.com profile] fuzzpsych couldn't believe that I had purchased such a thing, mostly on account that we really really have no use for it. I told him I wanted it for the crystals. He grumbled about it, but that's about it.

I finally got around to stripping the glass from it this morning. Now I had previously thought that it only had crystals around the top and that the bits I could see at the bottom of the box were extras. Now, even for $3, 30 medium octagons, 5 small and 5 teardrops is a bargain, but I searched through the box anyway, just to make sure that I had everything.

Turns out, there was more than just what was on the top.

On the bottom tier, there were another 50 (!) medium octagons, 30 small ones and 30 teardrops. There was a point, too, when everytime I looked, I was finding more. So that makes 150 crystals for only $3...or, if you prefer, 2ยข for each one. Bargain.

Needless to say the chandelier is well and truly pillaged and ready to go to Generations for someone else to enjoy as it still works. Minus the crystals, of course. :)

EDIT: They took the chandelier at Generations. This pleases me. And when I went in to have a quick look around, I noticed a similar chandelier mysteriously missing all of its crystal, too. Gee, I wonder how that happened. :)
