Sunny still pees on the floor. Even after dosing him with the good drugs for two weeks. That was last week. Even with the drugs, he only peed in the box maybe a handful of times (and the rest was, you guessed it, on the floor). So the treatment was a qualified something something doughnut.
Cue today, in which he peed on the floor about an hour ago.
I go to blot it up, with paper towels like usual, but that's not the right colour: urine should not be, you know, brown. I blot again and it comes away red-tinged. Fucking hell, there's blood in his urine, and not an insignificant amount, it seems.
The vet has been called. He's going back this afternoon. It's going to be tight, as Declan's birthday party is an hour after the appointment, but the cat takes precedence over minigolf right now. If we're a few minutes late, then we're a few minutes late and I'm not going to stress about it.
